Responsible for the upgrade of the production SITS environment from 8.8.1 to 9.1.0

Project Details

I was responsible for the upgrade of the live SITS environment from 8.8.1 to 9.1.0. I first upgraded QA's development instance of SITS, resolving any issues encountered. The upgrade of the live SITS environment was completed ahead of schedule and, due to all the prior testing and preparation, no significant issues were encountered either during or after the upgrade. Achievements include:

• Modification and compilation of HTS and LESS files to incorporate QA branding and styling.
• Resolution of all issues encountered during test upgrade.
• Upgrade of client and server instances of Uniface.
• Planning and coordination of all pre-upgrade tasks (e.g. database and system back-ups, ensuring system access, provision of several new WRFs)
• Modifications to assignment files (primarily component.asn)
• Upgrade of live SITS environment from 8.8.1 to 9.1.0
• Planning and coordination of all post-upgrade tasks (e.g. updating WRFs, applying hot-fixes, updating system parameters, enabling responsive layout)
