SITS Developer

Note: the text below also covers the contract that ran from 8th February 2021 through to 30th July 2021.

Engaged as a SITS Developer across two periods of contract work, working within the Project Team across multiple modules including research, admissions, recruitment, and finance. The initial engagement ran for two years and was extended three times, reflecting consistently strong performance, before a further period of engagement in 2021 covering similar areas of work.

Key achievements across both periods included the development of a new e:Vision portal for research staff to administer both staff and postgraduate students; the creation of a separate portal for third-party agents to submit applications; and the introduction of new enquiry forms to support the recruitment of North American students. Further contributions included significant performance improvements to application review reports - reducing response times from several minutes to under ten seconds through targeted SQL optimisation - bulk clearance check tooling, a new intelligent contact form routing student queries to the correct department, improvements to the applicant portal qualifications section and a new report for identifying refunds due based on user-specified criteria.
